Summer with the kids took up all my time. And I mean ALL my time! I'm thankful that summer vacation is over and I can concentrate a bit on me. Sound selfish? Maybe, but I don't care. I'm looking forward to quiet mornings, maybe going to the gym (which I still have yet to do), and working on MFFO (which I have done a TON of work so far!) I've been a stay at home Mom now for over 12 years and I'm looking forward to doing other things that feed my soul!
As for Muthahood? I've been absent here, I know. But it was a pretty good darn summer! My eldest started High School, and four more are in elementary school. I am thankful for that. I'm thankful that I have one at home this year. Just one. JUST ONE!!! We've enjoyed each others company. It's nice to have that one on one time with her. I just can't believe she will be heading to Kindergarten next year.
So right now, my mornings are filled with getting kids ready for school, listening to Dora in the back ground as I plan, blog, and tweet about Mothers Fighting For Others and the Inspire the Child program. I do puzzles, count to 100 (that's getting really old BTW), and work on phonics with Little Miss S. The three and half hours go by really fast before the new Kindergartner gets home. Then lunch, then the rest of the crew starts dragging in between 2:00-3:30. Oh, the homework. That's an entire other post. I'm not sure how I am going to be able to handle helping, guiding, correcting homework for grades K,1,3,5, and 9. Oh yeah, dinner time! Dinners, showers, cleanup, reading time, wrangling kids to bed... I'm tired now just thinking about it. But man, I sure do love it.
So if I'm not here, you know what I'm doing. And I'm sure I'll be happy and very tired from doing it!!
